Massage Treatments
Ashiatsu
Ashiatsu (ashi=foot, atsu=pressure) is an ancient practice in which the massage therapist uses her feet to deliver the massage. This massage modality has been modernized in the West to include the use of a system of bars hanging from the ceiling. The therapist guides herself using the bars for balance and targeted weight distribution. Ashiatsu is well-documented and effective in the treatment of chronic lower back and neck pain. Ashiastu is approved by the NCBTMB (National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork), and recognized by the AMA (American Medical Association).
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to get into the connective tissue of the body, rather than just the surface muscles. A variety of techniques are used to deeply penetrate the muscles and fascia to loosen them and releasing tension. This type of massage is most beneficial when undertaken on a regular basis, so that therapist and client can work together to correct long term problems, relax the body, and prevent injury. A deep tissue massage also tends to be very slow, and the massage therapist will use long, flowing strokes to ease in and out of the muscle.
2 Hour Deluxe Massage
This session will be booked at owner’s discretion after conducting a thorough intake – more is not always better. We can guide you to the best treatment option. This treatment is ideal for those with multiple areas of concern. Throughout the session, a variety of massage techniques, along with cupping, Gua Sha and heat will be used. Since additional time is needed for the value-added services, we highly recommend extending a 1.5 hour massage session to a full 2 hours, allowing for timely application of the advanced myofascial techniques.
Stress Buster Massage
Your massage therapist will spend 45 minutes addressing specific problem areas. While this treatment does not include a full body massage, it allows for more site specific work on the problematic areas such as the neck, shoulders and back. This is a perfect treatment for someone with tense muscles due to prolonged computer work, physical exertion and everyday stress. Heat treatment and aromatherapy can be included for prolonged benefit – leave feeling renewed and relieved!
Swedish Massage
A collection of techniques applied to the superficial layers of muscle tissue. Some of the therapeutic effects include increased circulation, relaxation of the nervous system, and stimulation of the skin. This session is a “lighter touch” treatment designed for those that prefer a gentle, relaxing massage experience.
Maternity Massage
For women that have completed their first trimester, this session is designed to relax the mother-to-be as her body goes through the many dramatic changes of pregnancy.

“Myofascial pain is a chronic, painful condition that affects the fascia (connective tissue that covers the muscles). Myofascial pain syndrome might involve either a single muscle or a muscle group. In some cases, the area where a person experiences the pain might not be where the myofascial pain generator is located.” – Cleveland Clinic
Dynamic Cupping
Silicon cups create a vacuum seal and are moved strategically by the therapist over the muscle and connective tissue to loosen restrictions and adhesion. It is a highly effective treatment without leaving marks or circles on the body. A common protocol used by physical therapists and experienced licensed massage therapists. Add $10
Gua Sha
Stainless steel tools are gently moved across myofascial restrictions to allow for faster restoration of muscle tissue. This technique can assist with increased range of motion, pain reduction, and decreased tensile stress on shortened/restricted muscle bands. A common protocol used by physical therapists and experienced licensed massage therapists. Add $10
Infrared Sauna
Let this amazing technology melt away your stress and tension for 20-30 minutes prior to your massage treatment. Great for chronic pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, detoxification, stress relief and overall relaxation. Add $30
*Sauna available only in conjunction with massage services
Aromatherapy
Choose from a variety of essential oils to incorporate into your treatment. We can also recommend a special blend for muscle inflammation, relaxation or rejuvenation. Add $10
Heat Therapy
Be enveloped in warmth beginning from your neck to your low back. Moist heat packs are applied to muscle groups that are typically overused and fatigued. Relax during this hydrotherapy treatment while the heat brings fresh oxygenated blood to your tissues in effort to quickly reduce tense muscle bands, aid in elimination of toxins, and prolong the benefits of your massage. Your massage therapist will let you rest with heat while your muscle tension melts away. This is a great way to begin a massage session, especially during cold winter months. No additional charge.
